SFWA begins to recognize self-publishers

The science-fiction and fantasy writers of America(SFWA) is a group of writers who come together for the benefit of sci-fi authors. It’s not an exclusive club, per se, but they do have ground rules and a lot of by-laws. You have to have published at least one full-length novel, or thee short stories through the traditional publishing routes to be able to apply for membership.

That may change sometime in the future, though. The board who runs the show over there is now taking comments from their members about letting self-publishers in the club. Keep in mind these are people who already belong, so they’re already traditionally published, somewhere.

As of today. they have thirty-one comments on the subject, some of which are quite interesting. Click here to go right to the page.

Heh, I left one too.

‘Til next time
