Hail all, friends and readers. Hope this day finds you all well.
The title of today’s post comes from a quote by George Martin, author of the Song of Ice and Fire series. He’s notorious for taking years and years to write his books. Recently a preview sceening was held in New York for the first episode of Season Four of Game of Thrones, the TV show based on his famous literary series. After the show, a question and answer session was held. He got up to the microphone, and before anyone could even begin to ask him anything, he shouted, “I’m working on it.” Naturally, it would have been the first question. If only he’d given us a better answer. O well.
I too, am ‘working on it’, as it were. The next book in the Aeonith series is being worked on now. With luck, God’s help, and more luck(not in that order) I can have it ready in a month or so. Here’s hoping(and praying)
Now, for those who’re anxiously awaiting that next volume, I’ve planned a little treat. Over at Tales of Aeonith I’ve included part of a chapter from that next book.
This chapter is from a new player in the series, the mysterious Hunter in black that Kyrar refers too as he and Adjunt walk the docks in Book One. That character now has his own chapters, his own story and his own past, which tie directly into what’s happening in the world of Aeonith. Soon, hopefully, you’ll be able to learn more about this and the other characters who’re featured in the novel, now officially titled, Falls a Dark Shadow.
Those who’ve read the Tscon Lightbringer books will recognize a character from that series, as well as a familiar place.
Adjunt gets his own chapters in the next book as well, so fans of Kyrar’s assistant rejoice. His past comes alive, as well as his present.
Well, that’s it for now, jump on over to Tales of Aeonith and check out what’s coming soon in Falls a Dark Shadow: Arcania Rising – Book Two.
See You in the Future,
J S Eaton
