Her Gentle Curves

Her Gentle Curves

A woman is love, given human form
So who’s to say what is the norm?
Whom should tell me what delights my soul
Shall I defer to another, my heart’s control

Her gentle curves, like the wings of a dove
Sends my soul to the skies
And the heavens above

Love is a treasure, more precious than gold
It makes life worth living, for the young and the old
Does love say what is beauty, based merely on sight
Or does it seek to delve deeper, to see beauty’s true light

Her gentle curves, like the wings of a dove
Sends my soul to the skies
And the heavens above

Delight to the eyes is a subject abstract
There are no set rules, no basis in fact
To see attractiveness solely based on our eyes
Is a cardinal sin, a terrible lie

Her gentle curves, like the wings of a dove
Sends my soul to the skies
And the heavens above

A woman’s true splendor comes from within
Her body a vessel for the love she can send
To whom that can see her for the angel she is
And accept her magnificence, in her splendid bliss

Her gentle curves, like the wings of a dove
Send my soul to the skies
And the heavens above

A woman’s beauty is not found in her size
Look into her heart, through the lens of her eyes
See the loveliness there, the tender virtue
And you’ll know that her heart is what matters to you

Her gentle curves, like the wings of a dove
Sends my soul to the skies
And the heavens above

Just a little somethin’ I whipped up one Sunday, but I think it reflects a vision of what real beauty is. There’s a story on Tales of Aeonith that similarly reflects on what beauty really is.  Anywho, hope you enjoyed the poetry!

Be sure to read Tales of Aeonith
