Greetings and salutations readers! Welcome back to the Night Castle. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!

As you’ve noticed, there’s a big banner up on today’s post. What in the world is Kindle Scout?

Scout is a new program Amazon has come up with to get new author’s(and readers) together on Kindle. I won’t bore you with all the details since you can simply hit the banner and go right to the pages that explain every little thing about this awesome idea, but I will give you a quick overview.

Basically, it allows you(the reader) to look at a cover and the first few pages of a novel and if you like it, you can nominate said book to be published by Amazon by way of this program.

There are many perks, not the least of which is a free copy on Kindle should your pick get accepted by Amazon.

Why is it here on the Night Castle? Because I’m submitting my next completed work to the Scout program, and I’ll need your support!

New work, wait what?

Yes. New.

If you’ve been keeping up here at the Castle, you’ll know that I’ve been working on a new book, and it’s almost ready! Well, it is ready now.

What’s it about?

The first thing you’ll notice about this new book is that it’s NOT an Aeonith novel, not at all.

The setting is Earth, about a thousand or so years in the future. After a global nuclear war brings humanity to its knees, vampires assume control of the world and put their collective boots on the neck of mankind. After setting up shop in a few technologically advanced mega-cities, the vampires rule over a scattered and divided human race that has built a new civilization on top of the ruins of the old world, living in the shadows of their new overlords.

Into this nightmare rides Shyene Lucas, a young woman on a mission of justice, and revenge. If you’ve been following my work, you know I can write some pretty strong female characters. Shyene is that, times ten!

 

I’ll save the how and why I decided to make this particular work my next publish in another post. Today, we want to talk about the Scout program.
